Hey its me again, haha i got a e-mail from my cousin and i thought it was really interesting, it reminds me of a phrase from the bible, think those who has my msn acct will see it in my nick, Its more blessed to give then to recieve. Well it may not be relevent but at least there is a small similarity haha. Well heres the mail that i got from my cous, happy reading it. =)

One day, a poor boy Howard Kelly was selling goods from door to door to
pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he
was hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his
nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.

Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked
hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it so slowly, and
then asked, How much do I owe you?"

You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to
accept pay for a kindness."

He said ... "Then I thank you from my heart."

As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but
his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and
quit.

Many year's later that same young woman became critically ill. The local
doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they
called in specialists to study her rare disease.

Dr.. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the
name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.

Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.

Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at
once.

He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save
her life. From that day he gave special attention to her case.

After a long struggle, the battle was won.

Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for
approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill
was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would
take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and
something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She read these
words ...

"Paid in full with one glass of milk"

(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You,
God, that Your love has spread broad through human hearts and hands."

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

First of all I want to thank everyone for your encouragement, rebuke, comfort and wonderful support thru out the whole of this year. As I look back, I'm filled with thankfulness for wad the lord has brought me thru. It has indeed been a year of stepping out in faith, and a conquering faith! Not to mention all the business... I still have tons of work to finish, altho none of these are in any way related to my job. And wanna congrat my ah pa 4 his successful proposal.

Was out playin lan with leo & his ghim moh boys. Played for a few hrs. it was pretty fun & satisfying as these guys can play well. But tdy I nver use any of my fav hero, other than sb. After tat when shopping 4 a while with hee khian. THis weekend dunno whether shld book a car. Maybe shld save up $$ for a new graphics card since the old one going... and have to get a new motherboard too... but i dun feel like spending any more $$ le... have been spending a lot up to now le, and if not for the bonus, gg long ago le... cannot, must reject the spirit of poverty. Half an hr more an x'mas will be over, and new year will be coming... another busy week ahead as we await the opening of school...

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
i noe i haven been posting recently but den again its cos my old comp suddenly decided tt it cldnt connect with blogspot and everything i typed disappeared!
but gd news..tts not gonna happen again cos ive got a new modem!
yay!

haha..the last week has been a real turn around for me in many ways..just when i thought this year wld end terribly God somehow managed to convince me otherwise.
haha..im so glad..
ive got so many things id like to thank God abt..

1st thing id like to thank God abt is for the powerhouse youth camp..
ahgong's msg was very straightforward..have a simple heart.
well..i choose to put my faith in prayer again..
and well..haha..the results were there for all to see..
everyone prayed for the rain to stop and it did on the 2nd day rite?
for me i prayed for smth else on the 2nd day..
alot of ppl were sick due to the rain..abigail..my CHELSEA SUPPORTER facillitator gabriel hu dint come in the morning..and of cos others..

i prayed during quiet time tt day for the sick..
and guess wad?
in the afternoon abi looked perfectly fine and bubbly as usual and gabriel came back looking well too!
praise the Lord..

i also wanna thank God for the rain on the 1st day which was kinda gd in a not very fun way..
we were like walking together in the rain and stuff helping each other out at the expense of our own dryness..
benedict ang was incredible lah can?
he totally dint use umbrella at all and helped to carry the bags out from the car boots in the pouring rain while others with umbrellas chose not to..
peifu peifu..
im glad to say i saw quite a few more ppl do the same..
all for the family rite?
though many of us dint get appreciated i noe God is well pleased with us.

3rd thing id like to thank God for is for wad he did on the 2nd night..
u see..i saw fellow brudda sherwin on his knees and den i really felt a prompting to pray for him..
and tt prayer wasnt the best..or the most complicated..or the most colourful..
it was right from my heart..and it said all i felt abt God's love for us..
sherwin cried..
i almost cried too..
abit pai se cos its the 1st time i pray and someone gets touched by the holy spirit..i was quite unsure how to react but i hope i'll learn in time..
anw..
tt meant alot to me..

y?
cos it gave me a hint tt wad ive worked for the entire year dint go down in vain..u see..i was feeling extremely defeated and down cos 2006 has been very dull without much breakthrus..
of cos..ive gotta say everett has been a blessing to me..his acceptance of Christ meant quite alot to me too..but even den when he accepted Christ i wasnt in spore..tt was in dec 2005.
i felt quite left out..like not being part of God's plan..i not around den ppl receive Christ i around ppl nvr..
kinda silly eh?
haha..2006 was basically the same mood as tt..

but den God revealed to me smth impt tt night..
not to rely on my own strength but by God's strength..

ironically..the theme of the camp..
'not by might not by power but my spirit says the Lord'

in a way..it was a humbling experience..
and the nx thing filled me with new faith..
God told me not to give up..
He's beginning a new work in the ppl around me..
and 2007 is the year he'll use me in the most powerful way ive ever known..
WOW..

i sense a breakthru in the spiritual realm..
nx year is gonna be THE year we are gonna win the nations for Christ..
and believe me we ARE gonna fill block d1 up to the max..
y?
not bcos we are capable of it..
but bcos we have faith..
and God wun let those hu put their faith in Him down..
2007 is the year of victory..its not gonna be easy..but its certainly gonna bring out the best God has in store for us..

im really excited abt nx year..
abt our cell band, abt our soccer and basketball ministry..
just amazing..
cant wait!
=)

i certainly experienced a breakthru already in the past week..
i scored my 1st ever goal for school in a proper tournament!
it was the finals and we beat bedok 3-1.i got the 2nd goal as attacking mid.
ive told myself tt once the 1st goal arrives goals will start raining down..

i believe the same thing applies to the G12 vision..once everyone of us gets our 1st spiritual son..
my gosh..i wun be surprised if we complete our 12 by the end of the year at all..

and so we step out in faith..
amen!

The Glory of Zion

"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.
3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
4 "Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm.
5 Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.
6 Herds of camels will cover your land, young camels of Midian and Ephah. And all from Sheba will come, bearing gold and incense and proclaiming the praise of the LORD.
7 All Kedar's flocks will be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth will serve you; they will be accepted as offerings on my altar, and I will adorn my glorious temple.
8 "Who are these that fly along like clouds, like doves to their nests?
9 Surely the islands look to me; in the lead are the ships of Tarshish, [
a] bringing your sons from afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.
10 "Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you. Though in anger I struck you, in favor I will show you compassion.
11 Your gates will always stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that men may bring you the wealth of the nations— their kings led in triumphal procession.
12 For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; it will be utterly ruined.
13 "The glory of Lebanon will come to you, the pine, the fir and the cypress together, to adorn the place of my sanctuary; and I will glorify the place of my feet.
14 The sons of your oppressors will come bowing before you; all who despise you will bow down at your feet and will call you the City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15 "Although you have been forsaken and hated, with no one traveling through, I will make you the everlasting pride and the joy of all generations.
16 You will drink the milk of nations and be nursed at royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
17 Instead of bronze I will bring you gold, and silver in place of iron. Instead of wood I will bring you bronze, and iron in place of stones. I will make peace your governor and righteousness your ruler.
18 No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.
19 The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.
20 Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.
21 Then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor.
22 The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly."

-Isaiah 60

During the youth retreat weng gave me this word from the Lord and I was greatly encouraged by it. Aikky just gave me a lovely present - its a book titled "Teaching to change lives". Aikky is a dear bro who always let me drive his car around. I felt very excited as I began reading, and the Lord reminded me of Isa 60 as He helped me visualize how successful I would be at my career & how many would sought after my favor tat I would use my success to turn them to the Lord. It was a very encouraging vision. I understd tat the Lord not only gave me a passion for the media, he also gave me an anointing to teach. And I pray that what was written in Zec 8:23 will be fulfilled in my life... that "In those days ten men from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one [christian] by the hem of his [coat] and say, 'Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you." Amen.

my encounter w the holy spirit

Pastor Khong preached one of his shortest messages last sun. It was also the coldest svc i went for. It literally rained the whole day right from early morning. Just imagine 9 am inside hall 10 and outside rain rain rain; i was shivering even b4 he preach abt holy spirit. Then all the leaders have to go in front to receive the baptism of the holy spirit - see, become leader good rite? 1st to go in front to receive holy spirit's baptism. Anyway, the moment I reached the stage, my bottom half started shaking like nobody's business - it must have looked really funny, like happy feet. I shook until pastor came and laid hand on me; and i fell down; after which i stopped shaking so much. WHile lying there on the floor i saw a vision of 2 full blocks (twice the size of D1) before me. As I pondered about what this means, the holy spirit said,"From now on, I'm you good friend." Next I visited the Cross. As I looked upon it I could feel God's love deep in my heart. The ministry was still going on and I continued to drink of the holy spirit as i laid there. I cried as I re-visited the Cross. I enjoyed the presence of the holy spirit as he told me to ,"just rest." I told him that I'm lying down for quite long already, but he said he wants me to remain a bit longer. Then I asked him if i should enter teaching. He showed me a word 'Edutainment.' I understood what it means.

Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive.

Firstly i would like to thank god as 2 of my friends accepted christ, and another rededicated her life to god. Well to me and to those who knows my friend well. They would agree that one of them accepting christ was a miracle and i believe God will show them the love of a father the way he showed us.
Well, today's MoL was not so bad. Everyone i invited turned up. Even though there were delays here and there. Like i said earlier about my friends and roarham mentioned them in his post also. Really happy that it happened. Hope they will come for service next week and join our cell. Really wanted to buy the magic set that was on sale there but too bad i do not have enough money atm. I'll just have to order it throu stanley. O well better start saving up for it haha. Watching MoL the 2nd time i could at least see how some tricks work but i am still amazed at how fast his hands were. We got better sits this time. At least the screen was infront of us haha. Well the youth camp is coming up soon, till now i am still not sure if i can go for it or not as my aunty is spending the last week in sg for the next few days and my mum has activities lined up for the family i think. Hope god tells me what to do. Well getting late already so i am going to bed now. haha.

MOL 16 Dec

ROAR!!! Guess wad?! Pple are late as usual!!!! - qian bian -

Hmm but i discovered that the love of God was very strong as Pastor and Priscilla shared their testimony and I believed many pple had been touched. 3 of ben and sharon's frens raised their hands to receive Jesus for the 1st time. One is oledi a christian & the other is very open. Guys, I just want to affirm all of you for your effort & faith & I hope u understd i'm trying my best to connect with everyone that came down. As much as you would love to engage your own frens, allow me to also know them ( isn't it for them to know who ur spiritual father is & wad ur spiritual family is like in the church? Isn't our community attractive enough?) Yet I sense many of you have not learnt to tap on this advantage, which is why u struggle to bear fruits. You must spend more time with me, talk more with me, tell me more abt your life, bring me out with your frens so when harvest time comes, we dun have to do everything from scratch n pretend to know each other for a very long time! I've made enough mistakes - enough to finally understand the power of the spiritual family. And i believe many lives are won tonite bcuz we took time to pray. Prayer helps us to engage in spiritual warfare which releases the power of God over the forces at work in the lives of pre-believers. The struggle is still there bcuz many lives are waiting to be consolidated (don't forget we're shooting for 100% consolidation!)

Finally, if u regard me as your spiritual father, then imitate me as i imitate christ.

haha..thx for ur post andre..im sure someone other den u in the world totally understands wad u're toking abt..
oh..and yes..st andrews are a gd team..but im proud to say we beat them in b div this year.
=P

yesterday was an interesting day.
woke up late as usual..really tired for some reason.
anw..went for soccer training from 3-5 in the afternoon.
played the semis of the tohari-cup against the c div.
they were a much stronger team this time..
1st half was very "blend"..
we dominated with more chances but they had more corners and kept shooting from far.
i hit the woodwork twice which was very sad..
haha..haven scored for sch in a tournament b4..which im sure alot of ppl from sch will gasp at.
weird..hopefully i'll break the duck nx year.(quack!)
poor duck.
cld have been 2-0 up if not for the crossbar stopping my left foot chip and the right post stopping an almost certain goal.
sian..
luckily leighland edged them out with a curler off the post(again) but this time it went in off the post unlike me. the post must be a ball magnet.

eugene and leighland went home with me and my bro to shower den we took cab to changi airport to meet up with alice, everett and ming yue.spent the whole cab ride trying to decode wad leighland and eugene were saying..gosh..
i dunno but its really not a gd thing tt many cant get along with each other..

shoban cldnt make it cos he was sick..quite disappointed..hope he gets well soon.
wad we did at changi airport was silly.
dropped off at the wrong terminal..den walk one big round to the skyline to take the skytrain over to terminal 2 where we ate burger king..
arrived there late at like 6.20..
gobbled down our food..baloy arrived..
left for expo.
the train ride was silly too..

dunno hu go suggest the idea we put our feet in a circle around the verical bar and take pic.
haha..
oh yah..it was quite sad i cldnt invite more guys cos alot of them not free or overseas..
anw..met up with cell at the foyer.
den wait for bird and kok to arrive. gals are so unpredictable..and random..

for no reason bird comes up to me and gives me a hug and says i miss u..
stunning..haha..damn awkward esp in front of my bro.den again she hugs almost everyone.lol.haven seen her for rather long..and as alice pointed out she slimmed down alot..probably as skinny as me now..lol..but still much shorter..
bird is a funny mystery..dunno if anyone understands wad goes thru her mind..
damn funny..cos later she gave me a call in mol while i was collecting money from 3 other gals and i told her to hold on..

when i was done collecting money i said hi and she asked hu i was..nvr fails to amaze me to the pt of stoning..even more funny was when she told me she was going korea today or smth den i said pierson is in korea..she was like "who's pierson?".. i almost slapped myself while kok told her tt pierson was the guy whom she asked the hp number of..

haha..so much for having alot of frens when u cant rmb one of them vividly..fortunately she rmbed..
whew..
but bird is a nice person..no wonder everyone loves her..
i sincerely admire her optimism and joy despite her probably-busier-den-me schedule.
hope to be able to follow the gd example.
=)

another time i almost slapped myself last nite was when alice told me gv shihui and zhi xian were coming late and even if they dun make it in time b4 the door closes nvm they will wait for each other to come b4 going inside..

one day i shall decide not to organize stuff and ask someone else to help me out..

pierson needs to get his legs back in spore by monday for the crunch final against bedok i tink.
lost 3-2 last time i tink..i dint play though so this time it might be a diff thing..
muahahaha..

anw..
mol was great..though we sat all the way at the back..haha..the magic was cool..so was the love..
andre's fren is the head prefect of acs(primary) can u believe tt?? and he's coming my sch nx year! yay!
omgosh lorh..i was so honoured to meet such a pro junior!!
haha..dunno y but i always seem to have a soft spot for younger acsians..
must the the pride and love for acs and its future..
ACS so rox!

anw..baloy eugene and leighland found the show nice which was a gd thing..
i find it really hard to win ppl for christ esp if they are from my sch cos we go thru devotions every morning so smth like tt wld seem ordinary to them..
alot of my frens already noe christ..but they arent christians for various reasons i still am not sure of..hope God gives me a breakthru soon..
on the brighter side i think mol touched them abit so i hope gd things will happen in the future..
was also nice to see weng yew and benedict at mol..

my life has been abit chaotic recently with all the events and wad not..so..
hmm..
maybe shall post of some of my problems and impt events in my life which happened during the hols..
just for starters..ive had alot of impt decisions to make at the same time..
was really stressed a couple of weeks ago.thank God he brought me thru it all..
10 years from now..i bet i'll find my life now very amusing..
haha..

MOL 15 Dec

MOL is awesome!! Ha ha really enjoyed the show tonight & very excited over the visitors. My memory lapse is back again and i find myself forgetting names. Thank God for those who responded to God's call and I believe we'll have much to consolidate but let's believe and continue to pray for a new breakthru in our spiritual family! We must make special efforts to take care of our visitors & entertain them so that its easier to engage them deeper n invite them for service. Let's continue to press in children! God sees your faithfulness and labour and desires to bless u greatly. Let's unite ourselves n make special effort (whether it be connecting w the pre-believers or praying for them) as we bring them to experience God's magical touch this weekend.

Last but not least, $$ and consent form for those who still owe me....

hello ..aiyo 2day we played against st. andrews..we lost to them 4-1 but dat wasnt surprisin..cuz they are quite good(rite anthony?). our defence was very lousy but a good thing we had quite a strong attack. Wasnt THAT embarrassing to concede so many goals cuz our b div played theirs and agn lost 6-0....haiz..gd thing my coach says we stil hav hope and will be prepared to face them agn in 5 mths time..juz need to improve on our defence cuz there is no spoon...cuz the spooon is away and the spoon's mom has gone to look for it..unfortunately,the spoon's father is made of metal so it is being used for a bowl of cornflakes and somewhere in space the spoon's grandma is floating ard like a spoon..and in the "Book OF Many Spoons", it says dat very very few spoons are wooden like a wooden spoon so its not wooden, making it not metal..but wooden..and yes dats about it about spoons..forks are almost the same like spoons except dat they r forks..the also hav different races like th spoon family, wooden and non wooden-which is metal and not wooden makin them not wooden spoons but metal spoons..okay tell yall mor about spoons and forks nxt tym..may the spoon be with you..andre

A VALUABLE LESSON

ok ppl..i noe this is gonna sound chim and really irrelevant to many so only if ur ready for chimness pls continue reading..

a valuable lesson i learnt today was abt soccer tactics..
i played a match against some sp boys who was my fren's bro's frens..
haha..the line-up for my team was quite strong..
eugene as keeper, bryan and leighland as centre backs..which is like sch team defence.
shoban went right defence and prasad left.
mj and shafiq were in the centre, me on the right wing and jerome on the left side.
esmond and jon ong up front.
formation? 4-4-2

ah wells..im glad someone realized the mistake as half time cos in the 1st half we were owned like mad and cldnt string more den 2 passes together..
losing 2-0 without a single shot on target..
enough to make me puke(ps.i really almost did..but bcos i was feeling sick)

errors in the 4-4-2 system..
1) we cldnt even get a proper pass to the forwards.long balls were all we cld manage and even when they did have the ball, they lost it within 5 secs.
2)shafiq attacked alot leaving mj against 3 opponents whenever he lost the ball.
3)once mj was beaten, the defence was unprotected and vulnerable.
4) our wingers(me and jerome) cld not get involved due to the strength of the opponent's in the centre which cut off passes to the wings.
5) poly boys are naturally faster and stronger. playing an exact 4-4-2 formation against their 4-4-2 would nvr work cos they wld beat us in every area of the pitch, esp in our attack and midfield.

haha..2-0..
respectable u say?

half time was a breather..a really needed one..
we were running like headless chickens after them while they passed the ball around and used it intelligently..
to be honest i was dead tired with only 10 mins gone..
overheated..

tactical switch was obviously needed..
the formation went to 4-1-2-1-2
diamond formation with me as the attacking mid behind the forwards..
elijah came on as defensive mid in place of mj.
we played better for starters..(all in the formation!)
but our midfield was still being overrun occasionally.
2 stupid goals made it 4-0 though..
and when i say stupid..it really is stupid.
haha..a sweet strike from way out dipped into the goal..leaving everyone helpless..
eugene thought it was going out..wad a pity.
3-0 and the same was seemingly over..
the uneven and terrible ground betrayed us again.
ball bounced weirdly into leighland's arm.
handball.superb penalty.
4-0?

game over? well..not if 4-5-1 can help it..
u wldnt need a rocket scientist to figure out tt the formation turned the game around.
-pause-
"if only everyone listened to me and went with 4-5-1 from the start"
haha..
with esmond going off and mj coming back on..the game swung our way.

our 5-man mid totally suppressed their 4-man mid. 5 vs 4 in midfield.
we took more control of the game with more cover for the defence and more options to pass to in midfield. the 2nd part of the 2nd half was filled with passes from left to right and right to left outside the opponent's penalty area.
from jerome to shafiq to mj to elijah to me.
elijah became the anchor man in the 5 giving mj and me more space in the centre to create opportunities for ourselves.
the midfield certainly enjoyed the game more and its not surprising the breakthru came from a stroke of midfield penetration.
with our mid in full posession of the ball, i found jerome with a thru pass on the left. he managed to get the ball under control and hold off the central defender. i darted into the penalty box from the right as he suddenly found space to drill in a low cross.
perfect.
i cut in past the defender to reach the ball 1st at the far post.controlling it with my 1st touch and flicking it past the onrushing keeper with the 2nd.
superb but all credit goes to tt stunning cross by jerome..
istanbul by dear shoban?
not really..4-1 is still incredibly difficult.

within mins the 2nd goal arrived and it came from our liveliest source of the day..shafiq..
jerome once again came up with a superb assist as his thru ball found shafiq on the left.he took abit too long on the ball but typically flicked the ball into the far post over the keeper.

4-2..
game on..

they got 2 players injured so played with 10 men..
still they were more experienced, stronger and faster.

free kick to us.
i tell jerome its all his.
he lobs in the free kick and i anticipate to make a run towards the far post esmond and another teammate go up with 2 defenders.esmond manages to flick it on slightly with his head and i run in to steal the ball poking it towards goal. unfortunately, the keeper managed to get the slightest touch to it and the chance went begging.
the resulting corner was silly so i shall not tok abt it..

esmond had another 1 on 1 chance but keeper saved again..
shafiq cld have edged us closer but his chip just went over the far post.
mj managed to get a shot in but straight at the keeper.
jerome cld have easily stealed man of the match had he scored 1 in addition to his 2 assists.

elijah played just as well as anchor for our "all star midfield"

the defence was solid other den the 4 goals conceded.
eugene made some excellent stops to contribute whenever he could.

and so the 4-5-1 has done it again.
tts wad u call "midfield supremacy".

its ok if u dun understand all of the above..
cos if u do..
u arent human..
ur me.
=)

hope to post more interesting stuff for public viewing in the future..
LOL..

* Strange Happenings In A Hospital*

Thought of sharing everyone
this joke hope u will be laughing
enjoy.
There was this case in this hospital's Intensive Care ward where patients always died in the same bed on Friday mornings around 9am regardless of their age, gender, medical history or medical condition.

This puzzled the doctors and some even thought that it had to do with the supernatural: Why did death occur at that same bed around the same time every Friday?

So the doctors decided to go down to that particular ward to investigate the cause of the deaths.

Come Friday morning, everyone at the hospital ward nervously waited for the terrible phenomenon to occur again. The new (unknowing) patient laid there.

Some doctors held wooden crosses, prayer books and other holy objects to ward off evil...and they waited.

8am, the patient was still alive...

8.30am...still breathing...

Just before the 'cursed' time, the door to the ward swung
open...

Then Ah Soh, the part-time Friday cleaner, comes in and unplugs the life support system so that she can use the vacuum cleaner!

Haha i really had a good laugh at the joke.

Waiting at tables...

"In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Grecian Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, "It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. Brothers, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word."

This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism. They presented these men to the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them. So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith." (Acts 6:1-7)

Today I read this interesting account and discovered that the widows' food was so important to the church that they actually appointed men full of the Spirit and wisdom to take care of it. As I read this exciting account, what came to my heart was a prayer to the Lord, "Make me a man like Stephen, Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas and Nicolas, who are full of faith and the Holy Spirit and do signs n wonders although their job is just to take care of widows. Amen."

Finally got back from malaysia, got back like 4 hours ago, unpacked my stuffs and brought barnet's shirt to his out and went for supper. Feels great to be at home. haha. missed my com so much.
Well, the trip was a fun one and guess who i met at KL just an hour before i was leaving for SG. Joel! haha, he was there with his family. The trip back was horrible as there was a mistake from the staff at the hotel saying tat we gotta wait for the bus at another hotel and we only had 15 mins to get there. But the truth is tat its alright to wait for the bus at our own hotel as it would be coming here too, well we ended up running to and fro the hotels before we all got pissed off and settled down to wait for the bus. Well so much for our last day. Brought some stuffs back with me as well, a new pair of bb shoe, a baby milo sweater, 2 shirt and a levi jeans. haha. Could have brought 2 more shirts but the shop did not accept any card. haha did not have enough cash on hand, and did not have the time to change currency either. The bus was coming. It was a 5 hour ride back. The bus was great, watched a few movies in there. Personal tv screens as well haha. watched seven swords and elektra. And before i knew it i was back in singapore. haha. Well its 4 am in the mornin now and i think i had better get to sleep. I am not really tired actually. Well thats all for todae. Ben

A long conversation

I once told pple that I don't like becoming a teacher. Not that I detest the job - in fact, I quite enjoy teaching - I just don't like marking scripts & looking at undecipherable handwritings. I left CRush wanting to be in animation. I thot it was easy for me to finish a 3D animation project in one month. But I realised I don't have the luxury of time for that. And of course, I have a lot of things on my mind. I thot I could cope; but I couldn't. My first project was rejected. I didn't like it; my reviewers didn't like it. I had no inspiration. What followed was a period of unemployment, searching and exploration. I spent 3 months doing my SOL 3 project, another few months toiling at You Deide while trying to date a lady and grow my cell gp at the same time. Life was really tough. I discovered that if I don't find a job, very soon I'll become a financial burden to my family. That was one aspect I didn't consider very carefully while pursuing my dream. I attended some interviews and finally a door to teaching was opened for me. I was thankful for it; and it did give me some break from the frustration i was in. So i spent a couple of months at Catholic High while waiting for news from NIE. Not that I plan to forsake my dream, but since I've been well trained and experienced and wanted to continue engaging the youth, I thot that was something I can take up (for a season?) so that I have financial stability before I plan further. There were, of course, issues to deal with and I was greatly disturbed by some unexpected confrontation yesterday. I wanted to say I had a bad experience, becus I was completely unprepared for some questions that I don't really want to answer. I don't want to answer becuz there're issues I still haven resolve, and its very irritating to talk abt things when u're in the process of making up ur mind. It's like, you know, someone pressing u for an answer when you're on your way to getting the answer but the irritating voice doesn't go away. Anyway, after that confrontation, I learnt that I wouldn't do the same thing to someone else. And I decided to talk to ah-pa to help me sort thru the confusion. Trust me, I was deeply confused. But thank God for ah-pa, I feel much better now that he's given me assurance. He taught me that pursuing our dreams doesn't necessarily mean we had to be in that line or in that job. It doesn't mean that we completely ignore logic and wisdom in the process. There are ways to achieve things we want in life and use them for God's glory. I was very comforted. I was comforted becuz I know forsaking NIE & going back to insecurity is something that doesn't sound right at all at this point of time. And I learnt to give thanks - for the confrontation, the frustration, and the screw-up along the way - as it proves to me the concern God has on my life and my dream. Thank you Lord.

Retreat @ Watson's place

I really thank God for Watson & Shufang for lending out their apartment for our retreat. Firstly we get to save money & secondly the place was really good. We could house everyone who stayed over - compared to past chalets that we rented, this is so much more spacious. Once again, I want to thank and bless this dear couple.

The Holy Spirit moved powerfully among us amidst the fun we had. Much sharing was done on Growing Deep in the Lord and gaining spiritual maturity. During the 1st day we shared about our cell plans and some personal faith goals for 2007. I managed to take pics & videos on this. =D

The first night was awesome as the youths opened their hearts to the Holy Spirit and some was able to experience God in a greater way. The sink choked when I washed dishes after supper, and both Taufik and I stayed up until 3++am to clear the choke. We became good buddies as a result.

Take a look at what happened on the 2nd day...

Well.. as u can see, everyone is enjoying the chicken game - a game that requires you to grow up!

Once again, the Holy Spirit moved powerfully and God gave me a word to minister to people as well. This greatly encourages me bcuz I became more convinced of what the Holy Spirit wants to do in our lives. Likewise, I cannot agree more with what Bobo shared about 'Growing Deep' (which actually implies 'growing up in Christ') bcus when Ps Adrian arrived at nite, he urges everyone to cultivate the Spirit aspect of their lives. His stories about how God uses major turning points in life to strengthen his faith brought great encouragement to many. I believe those who went had been tremendously blessed as well.

On the 3rd day, the youths learn to move in their spiritual giftings according to the Word of God in 1 Cor 12 and 14. We had a very good time learning to hear from the Spirit and learning how to minister. I believe God had blessed us with a fruitful time together, even though personally I rely more on the Spirit than my own plans for this whole retreat - it was personally very rewarding to me. And of course... the usual crazy things you'd expect from all of us:

TAUPOK!!!!

SEE HOW HAPPY THEY ARE?

wad love truely is..

this is a post taken from my blog..hope u guys will be reminded of God's love for u:

The Bridge Keeper

There was once a bridge which spanned a large river. During most of the day the bridge sat with its length running up and down the river paralleled with the banks, allowing ships to pass thru freely on both sides of the bridge. But at certain times each day, a train would come along and the bridge would be turned sideways across the river, allowing a train to cross it.

A switchman sat in a small shack on one side of the river where he operated the controls to turn the bridge and lock it into place as the train crossed. One evening as the switchman was waiting for the last train of the day to come, he looked off into the distance thru the dimming twilight and caught sight of the trainlights. He stepped to the control and waited until the train was within a prescribed distance when he was to turn the bridge. He turned the bridge into position, but, to his horror, he found the locking control did not work. If the bridge was not securely in position it would wobble back and forth at the ends when the train came onto it, causing the train to jump the track and go crashing into the river. This would be a passenger train with many people aboard. He left the bridge turned across the river, and hurried across the bridge to the other side of the river where there was a lever switch he could hold to operate the lock manually. He would have to hold the lever back firmly as the train crossed. He could hear the rumble of the train now, and he took hold of the lever and leaned backward to apply his weight to it, locking the bridge. He kept applying the pressure to keep the mechanism locked. Many lives depended on this man's strength.

Then, coming across the bridge from the direction of his control shack, he heard a sound that made his blood run cold. "Daddy, where are you?" His four-year-old son was crossing the bridge to look for him. His first impulse was to cry out to the child, "Run! Run!" But the train was too close; the tiny legs would never make it across the bridge in time. The man almost left his lever to run and snatch up his son and carry him to safety. But he realized that he could not get back to the lever. Either the people on the train or his little son must die. He took a moment to make his decision.

The train sped safely and swiftly on its way, and no one aboard was even aware of the tiny broken body thrown mercilessly into the river by the onrushing train. Nor were they aware of the pitiful figure of the sobbing man, still clinging tightly to the locking lever long after the train had passed. They did not see him walking home more slowly than he had ever walked: to tell his wife how their son had brutally died.

Now if you comprehend the emotions which went this man's heart, you can begin to understand the feelings of our Father in Heaven when He sacrificed His Son to bridge the gap between us and eternal life. Can there be any wonder that He caused the earth to tremble and the skies to darken when His Son died? How does He feel when we speed along thru life without giving a thought to what was done for us thru Jesus Christ?

Keep it holy

The traffic at CTE was bad as i was driving back. Guess who's car i driving? If can guess correctly get a sweet on Sunday.. Ha ha..

Surprisingly the internet is just as bad even as i'm typing now. Lag lag lag... a lot of ppl not sleeping and playing lan now... lag lag lag... (actually only blogspot lags the most - must be spiritual warfare - devil wans to steal my sleep) :/

"You were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." - 1 Cor 6:20

The Word of God is very clear about holy living. We must know that God sets us apart from the rest of the world, altho' the mass media subtlely encourages sex and sexual fantasies.

"The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body." - 1 Cor 6:13

Talk is cheap. And its hard to be absolutely pure (even in our thots) when the rest of the world plunges into this bottomless whirlpool. However, God wants to encourage us:

"They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you. But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead." - 1 Pet 4:4-5

Therefore my prayer for everyone of us is this:
"May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." - 1 Thess 5:23

The one who calls us is faithful and he will do it. Will update you more on our retreat at my next post.

A New Blog

I've quitted blogging...
I think it's such a tiresome business...

But look.. -> I"M BACK!!!

Ha ha ha

I prefer to write on my own diary most of the time. But I guess blogging has its way of sharing my life with others. I want to imitate Paul's example. So here I am, sharing my life with you, my dear children. I pray we'll use this to encourage and spur each other on. Roar!!!
