Growing up..

after watching the previous post, i'm lost for words. hahaha. it's so ironical tt i wanted to blog abt this thing u call "growing up" only to find tt someone else already posted smth in relation to it!

must be sign from God. lol.

anw, i wanna affirm the word tt childlikeness is smth to be respected and awed abt.
it's tough growing up. not really the process but well, u kinda get torn between the now and the past, and the future. there are some things u don't wanna give up and let go.
as many call it. it's the last chance for those sec 4s to have care-free fun. and to think i felt like i lost tt a long long time ago.
haha. so the saying tt u dont know what u've got till its gone rings ever so true.
thankfully i think i realize what i've got 2 months b4 it's gone.

i've got childish frens. HAHA. ok not funny. maybe it is. well, many wanna take the opportunity of these 2 months and holidays to let it rip. it being our childish side. after all, we're gonna be adults very soon!
well. i dont wanna let go of those moments cos i know i'll nvr ever experience them again.
all those weird things u do when ur in an all-guys school. haha. pity we can't change in class when we go for PE nx year. so inconvenient!
and so many ppl change! looking back from sec 1, which seems like just yesterday, and comparing it to being sec 4, well. i guess we've all grown up in a certain way.
we still do childish stuff like tau-poking and acting spas but like a friend of mine said the other day, it's been quite amazing to see the inner-change tt has taken place.

then again, the future holds much uncertainty, but promises much more. and we'll never know till we actually experience it for ourselves right?
struggling to move on it one thing, not moving on is another.
i hope i fall into the "struggling to move on but eventually does" category.
after all, we dont want to become like the israelites moving out of egypt do we?
thinking how terrible egypt is when we're suffering there and den when we get delivered complain abt how better it was then. deliverence is kinda like growing up.

when we're kids we want to grow up so badly.
when we've grown up we want to turn back the clock and be kids again.
haha.

anw, moving on to the promise of God remains the most impt thing. God didnt create us to stay little and naive forever, He created us to learn and capture innocence and child-like faith, in order to raise us up to draw closer to Him and to fulfill our destiny.
after all, isnt tt wad life is abt? being grateful for all tt's passed, but moving on to greater and better things that have already been planned.

and so a new chapter begins..

i now needa rush off for class outing.
xD
ciao.

Great lesson from a small voice

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"

He called a little child and had him stand among them. And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."

(Matthew 18:1-4)

This passage just comes to my mind when I saw the video clip below. Indeed God uses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise.
